2015 GRAND NATIONAL TEAMS

DISTRICT FINAL

 

NEW LOCATION  - NEW FORMAT

 

 

WHERE: 10226 E 1400 North Rd., UAW Local 2488 Union Hall, Bloomington IL.  

 

From I-55 take the IL-9/US 150 Market Street Exit (Exit 160) toward Pekin.

Follow Route 9 approximately 3 miles, the hall is on the right.

 

WHEN: THIS DEPENDS ON YOUR FLIGHT!

The Open flight and Flight C (<500 MPs and a non-life master)

will be one day only events on SUNDAY May 3, 2015 at 10:00 am and TBA.

• Flight C will be a two-session Swiss event.

• The format for the Open flight will depend on the number of teams entered. (Exactly four teams will be a straight KO, any other number will result in a different format.)

 

Flights A (<6000 MPs) and B (< 2500 MPs) will start with qualifying on SATURDAY MAY 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm and TBA with semifinals and/or finals as needed on Sunday May 3. 

Format:

• up to 4 teams is a 2 session event,

• 5-8 teams is 3 sessions, with a 2 session swiss on Saturday and a final on Sunday, and

• 8 or more teams is a four session event with semifinal and final on Sunday.  

 

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUESTED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

The District will provide a minimum of $1000.00 per flight for the winners to represent the District at the National Finals in Chicago IL in August 2015.

 

Flight C Contestants: we have paid attention to your dislike of the prior format and changed your flight to a one day event. Please come out and support this event - you could end up winning GOLD points and representing the district at the Chicago NABC!
