NABC
GNT (Flight C) winners:
Thomas
O'Reilly-Pol, Sandy Bigg, Debbie Romero and
Jonathan Goldberg won the Grand
National Teams Flight C championship at the Las
Vegas NABC in July.
|

Kudos
to Tom, Sandy, Debbie, & John |
| |
They
played and won matches for four days to advance
to the finals, where they met the District 23 team
from California. District 8 trailed 40-29 after
the first quarter, but stormed back to win the second
quarter 66-26. They extended the margin in the second
half and won by a final score of 200-124.
This is
the first time any District 8 team has won the national
GNT championship in any flight. The foursome earned
40 masterpoints for the win, and Tom became a Life
Master. |

New Location for Bridgehaven.
6205
Lindbergh, Hazelwood. This is
in the same building as the Liquor Store, immediately
at the corner of Lindbergh & Utz, where you turn
in to get to the "old" Bridgehaven.
You will want to make a normal right turn, not a "U-ey"
in order to use the driveway into that building complex.

January
Sectional cancelled due to ice storm.
Blanchette Park is a designated emergency shelter.
About 80 people sheltered there Saturday night.
The unit donated food which had been brought Friday
to those who needed assistance at the shelter.
Schnuck's
graciously permitted the Unit to cancel its food
order at the last minute. And our caterers
did, too. Heartfelt thanks!
This is
the first time in about 10 years that a Sectional
has been cancelled. |
